The Velvet Rosé won the Best in Class at the Long Beach CA Wine Competition. Much higher quality than the pedestrian CA Sweet Red Wines.
We treat the Concord used to create Velvet Red like a serious red wine. It is fermented using an expensive wine yeast. It is blended with two other grapes to create a complexity not found in other sweet red wines. The wine has a very pronounced bouquet of red roses with lavender overtones and is sweet on the tongue and silky smooth on the finish.
Excellent with red meats, Italian red sauces, Barbequed meats and sweet things like chocolate.
